Lázně Libverda

The village is located in the picturesque northern foothills of the Jizera Mountains at an altitude of 424 m above sea level and its territory covers an area of 13.26 square kilometres. It is one of two spa towns in the Liberec Region. Spa guests, including the general public, can take advantage of a number of services provided by the Spa Resort Libverda, which is located right in the centre of the village. There are other facilities in close proximity, such as the information centre, a post office, other accommodation facilities and restaurants, as well as the Bikecentrum for those who wish to experience the Singltrek pod Smrkem bike trails.

            For comfortable travel to the village and its surroundings it is possible to use both individual transport by car and public bus or train transport in the direction of Frýdlant, Hejnice, Nové Město pod Smrkem. Public car parks are situated in the immediate vicinity of the spa complex.

            Visitors to Lázně Libverda should not miss several interesting destinations. In addition to the colonnade with a healing spring, it is definitely worth visiting the adjacent English-style spa park, the remarkable Obří sud (Giant Barrel) restaurant and the Vyhlídky nad Libverdou hiking trails with lookout points. These offer a beautiful view of Jizera Mountains’ steep slopes and are decorated with distinctive wooden sculptures associated with local legends. The territory of the village also includes several protected sites such as the Klečoviště na Smrku natural monument, the Tišina part of the Jizera Mountains Beech Forests National Nature Reserve and the Jizera Peat Bog National Nature Reserve.
